Looking at the posted events it seems that outside of GenCon most events are on the East Coast. It seems that "Q" may be in the central time zone but could someone tell me where any actual tournaments are held? Most of us are just getting started in Central IL, but we are not opposed to a road trip to play some games.

Hey Brightblade!
Us Windies are based in Chicago. I don't know how far that is from you, but me and my team are working on getting regular tournaments ready too. Besides that, we have a very strong chance of holding a Regional tournament with the same prize structure as all the others in mid-late July. The possibility only gets stronger if you or more people from your area would be interested as well. Would you be? How long is the drive?
Please let me know. Consider me your contact on this issue for tournaments up here in Windy. Not only that, me and a group of friends might even come to you for some events. Feel free to 'private message' me on this issue whenever you like. That goes for everybody else too! I will also look into pushing for us to get updated on CGE and ME websites as soon as I get things official.

Sweet, there are maybe 6 or 8 of us who are playing alot in the Peoria area, and quite a few more who have decks and are just getting started. Of the group I know that at least two of us who have roadtripped up to Chicago and Iowa City for Gundam War events and down to St. Louis for the old Decipher CCG. We plan on going to GenCon, but getting some more competitive games in before hand would have us in much better shape before the big events in Indy.

Were you not aware of the Regional for ME that Indy had just a week ago?
Either way, we would love to have any number of you at...
Collect-a-Card and Comics 6810 W. Archer Ave Chicago IL, 60638
Hold on to this info. We currently don't have it official just yet, but I hope we will by week's end to have a Regional at this location. I will also you inform if and when we initiate regular tournaments for ME. Look for updates on this thread and/or your private message file.

I just got started about two weeks ago, and have been working over the rules with the other players in the area. The other players (even the ones who got the game started in our area) don't appear to go on the boards much so I'll let them know whats going on.

Cool. I know Indy's thing was posted both on CGE and ME websites, but if I get this thing up, I'll have it there and here too.

Chicago is about a 3 hour trip for me, Fitchburg would be about 18 hours; making it something more than a day trip drive there for games and back before work the next day.

One thing at a time, axlrose...
Yea, just to remind everyone that Chicago will run events every single Sunday at noon at CCC. Check out our thread!. Come join in!
All it takes is a little determination from the players to make sure the storeowners in your area pay attention. They'll never turn down more money to run events. Let us know how we can help you make it happen...
