I have a question , If a creature was already engaged would earth elemental still engage it and deal dmg to it. I would think that if a creature wasnt actually engaged by earth elemental then it wouldnt get dealt dmg. Please verify this.

Already Fully Engaged creatures will not take damage.

Doublechecking:
In response to the hiring of Earth Elemental, can an opponent use actions available to him to fully engage more of his guys and thus avoid having them take EE damage?
And if a creature with Slavemaster brings him into play, does EE still do 2 damage to all creatures that he fully engages? IOW, do the coming-into-play effects of creatures brought into play through slavery apply?

Any creatures you can fully engage in response to hiring EE will be saved. Notice that you cannot respond to the enter-play effect as that does not start a new event.
Creatures brought into play with Slavemaster still trigger enter play effects. EE would try to engage all others. Responses would have to be faster than the speed of the slavemaster. If the slavemaster is a creature, it doesn't die to the EE.

When you use the action of Slavemaster, you would have to respond at that time. Once the action resolves I then start looking through my deck for a card. You will not know which creature I am searching for when I activate Slave Driver.

Spiller is awesome like that. I just hope my rules interpretations don't conflict with his.
I'm more afraid of him than Keith!!! LOL, j/k.

ok, I have a question.
Does engage on this card mean, use 1 action?
I just don't see many cards that just say engage, most say fully engage. So I just want a clarification.

That is a very good question tirus?
In this case I would say that engage would be considered able to use any remaining actions it had if able. The creature is merely 1/4 turned not 90' if that makes sense. It didnt actually use its action.
For instance say i play an earth elemental and for all intensive purposes of explaination you decided not to engage your illusionist. Earth elemental engages the Illusionist not fully engages leaving it available to use its action still. But the 2 damage would be dealt killing the illusionist because it was engaged by Earth Elemental. I am 99% sure this is the way it works. Hopefully Keith will confirm.

Keith has been crazily exhausted by GenCon...trust me...we all were actually! I just can't stay away, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see him for a couple of days....
Either way, I'm not that sure about this, but Kevmo, being a fellow Judge and all, Chambers? Yes?

Ok, well, I completely forgot this thread still had an open question. Reading the card, I have a feeling it was supposed to say "fully engage" and not just engage.
So the million dollar question...should we play as written, or does it need errata? Keith!
