That's funny. I wouldn't. I'd rather not do it than do it shamelessly. lol Your advantage might just be that you don't have any... ...shame that is. lol.

Jay, your combo is illegal. Study your cards, it doesn't work the way you would like it to. I still think the GA combo is nasty but if you played that against me, I would love to see the look on your face when I called a judge over. Curses take time to come into play. Redshirt again is pointing out how complicated a combo is when there are lands involved. There is a huge difference between turn 2 and turn 4. Q, I am glad your here. You seem to favor the keeping it as is but do recognize the issue. Thanks for keeping an open mind. I would also like to point out that while the simple combo of GA and Battlemonger/dec of war only does enough damage to kill Grimus, the precentage of life loss to other characters is still too high. It is still 50-75% of the rest of the playable characters. That being said, Keith has spoken. He feels the combo is not too powerful. The informed will play a deck that has several answers early and will hold onto an action with their character if they don't have an answer.

Thanks Spiller! I try to always realize there is a head and a tail.
And you're right again. Even if the combo does that much percentage and not necessarily kills, it's devastating.
But, it does take a several combination of cards, and there are more than a couple ways around it. It is my hope this style combo doesn't constitute the majority of deck types at the faceoff. Personally I think that the top players are prepared for it and will implement enough hate for it that the GA combo will be seen as too unreliable to be a must play card.
It's still good though...don't get me wrong. And if it does get out of control then hopefully it will get dealt with then. I just don't feel at this time there is enough abuse of the card and I do not predict it will dominate all others.

Ok, this is mostly my fault for posting this thread to begin with, but I think perhaps its time to stop analying the Goblin Archers. Perhaps this convo should have never happened on this foum anyhow, but by now I believe everyone has made up their mind, and the recent comments haven't been as insightful as much as they have been argumentative.
I recommend all future comments over the Goblin Archer situation, if there even is one, to be handled at the MEGA forums and not here anymore.
Once again my apologies.

I think it is fair to mention that while Shawn did get it out on turn 2 and didn't win the game, you failed to mention which card you killed him with..... GA attacked for 10 for the win! It is a card that needs to be watched. Keep it as is for now and see if it continues to win tournaments. It did have a big impact in the NE regionals, even if people don't wish to admit it. This is not an arguement to ban/restrict the card. To say the people that played it lost almost every game that played it is a crock. Many of the top decks were running it. Good players know it is a GREAT card. Don't try to downplay it's power.
