I also have a question for you keith. Does destroying a creature count as removing it from play, or does removing from play only refer to removing it from the game?

So if someone casts Purify on a Devil's Contract, does that or does that not turn the contract into a vanilla version of itself? In other words, is the Devil's Contract still on the character but does nothing? Or is the DC too evil to be affected by Purify? And Sneaky Snyder cannot steal a DC? Does the "cannot be removed by any means" mean "cannot be removed from the character or creature using it" or "cannot be removed from play"? I would rule that Purify would work. It is not removing the item in any way.

Lets say my opponent casts a firecall. Does my oppenent have to target the martyr with all 3 damage or just one? And with lightning bolt. If all of the damage has to target it, would the spell just fizzle since it HAS to target 2 creatures?

I have another one.
Sorry i'm bombarding you with questions, but I want to be prepared for regionals tomorrow.
Ok, my question is: Is there any specific order in which you must do your loyalty rolls? I know that if you have more creatures than leadership then the lowest ones go first. but lets say i had 12 leadership and only 3 creatures, two of which are a guardian angel and a vorex. The order matters here because if the lowest goes first then you would take no damage from the abandoning because the gurdian angel is still on the feild. It's probably not that big a deal, but I thought I might as well ask anyway.

Until now the rule has always been, assuming your not over your maximum, point at the creature your rolling for and roll. No particular order.

I would assume that that wont change either.

So then in Arashi's example, the player could choose to roll for Vorex before rolling for Guardian Angel. Or s/he could choose, for whatever reason, to do it the other way and not get the benefit of Guardian Angel's shielding the player from damage should Vorex abandon.

In a case where an effect would happen at the same time, the controlling player chooses the order that the effects resolves.

Lets say my opponent casts a fireball. Does my oppenent have to target the martyr with all 3 damage or just one? And with lightning bolt. If all of the damage has to target it, would the spell just fizzle since it HAS to target 2 creatures? In the case of Fireball, you would have to target only Martyr. The Lightning Bolt is a bit more tricky. Because of the wording on Martyr: Any Spell or Ability that would remove a creature from play targets Martyr instead, Lightning Bolt would need to target only him, if you were declairing two creature targets, and this would result in a fizzle of the spell, however, if you declare a character as on of the targets, the creature target would then become Martyr and the spell would resolve normally, targeting Martyr instead of the original creature target.
