do you realy try to play those creatures or you just like them? I understand most of your picks but there are a few i dont... Braqmentar: if abandon, yup 6 does hurt Hatchlings: They are dead spots, but as you had mentioned if they grow they are good Fire golem: not as good since slave driver is gone but I guess it could be a board clearer. Hydra: Need to have a creature generator
you just gave me a deck idea, nice....
thanks for your thoughts, I look forward to more

If you are playing a dragon deck then you have no worries about him and thats cool. that covers the hatchlings and braq.
I guess my question was not asked correctly.
When building any deck are there certain creatures that you include as your base build and then fill in around them? It does not matter who your character is these cards go in every deck...
What are your core creatures???

I don't really use the same key cards or rather I try not to the more you have of those the more it hurts the game in general.

How many decks do you have together right now? I have 6 decks built but only 3 decks that are fully functional. If i were to take those decks apart and look at what cards I used in them, I am sure that there would be cranials probly in all of them and tree ents.
As much as we want to make this game diversified at this point with what we have to work with there are only 150-175 cards that are playable. Yes every card can be played but why would you use some of them.
I am just wondering if people have taken time to get away from the core group of about 6 to make different decks. I know that I have not but I have tryed. There are some cards that are just better then others.

Well, like in the case of the "Windy Burn" deck in its time, it didn't use any of your named creatures, and the deck was highly competitive if not a metagame standard. Granted, I understand full well the weight in influence of some of the cards you name, and I do agree that the game should be more diversified. In the meantime, all we can hope to do is truck forward with a refined R&D process and look to balance out the metagame through the novelty of some of the cards we would release.

I still hope for the leadership of building decks like windy burn instead of going with those core cards. I myself am puting together a deck that just distroys or takes your oponents stuff. I use thandore but that deck has quite a few of those standard cards mainly sworn and sneaky.

The slight of hand deck is good, most people play items and or events so you will never have a dead card. Most of them also come into play disengaged , maybe toss in a Declaration of war and also swing with them. This deck is fun I have it built already.
I would love to see more and more decks get away form the top 5 cards but i dont think that will happen. I know that when I build a deck i try to use other cards to get the point of the deck done but then I fill it with those cards.
