alll he is saying is he is going to run non-ME events. at this point hes not runngin ME sanctioned events. and CGE u sound like u want him to not be with ME sanctioners. if u do that u will hinder quite a few ME players from goin to events. u wont want to do that on a new game

Syn, please be more mindful of what you are saying. Those are heavy words, and unfounded. The questions were very legitimate. There was not an issue when IGS first posted the tournament, since any ME activity at all is of great value and support. The concern is when IGS very clearly stated its intention to never be afiliated with CGE, which brings many questions and concerns since CGE is very much afiliated with ME. Your number #1 ranking, for example, is a CGE ranking. You see where this is going? All the prizes that were awarded last year, like the trips to Gencon, were based on the CGE system. That is the nature of the query here. I think everyone has tried to be supportive, and no one has been exclusive as you suggest. Keith and CGE have both invited IGS back, and I myself have advertised this tournament above and beyond just this post. I think it is a great event. I think some of us just have questions.

i know that CGE does a lot for the game almost everything for prizes sake, i just thought that CGE took IGS/CGE its just IGS that happens to run some ME.

lol. No, it's all cool. I'm positive IGS will run awesome events either way, even if this one here or that one there isn't CGE. That isn't a problem at all. My only question was if they could ever sanction without CGE. It was just the question that they never want to be CGE afiliated as mentioned in their post which prompted a response from CGE itself and Keith. There is no confusion that I see, but IGS will have to respond at some point when the players demand sanctioned events...
You better go to this one Blaine. It'll be the last time you get to own face with your beloved Slavedrivers. lol

I appreciate the fact that IGS has done such a great job promoting ME. In the lead up to Gencon, they were THE store in the Northeast promoting tournament play. The store has decided not to hold sanctioned events (for now) so maybe a new store will step up to the plate. I am glad the store is still holding non-sanctioned events with strong prize support. I do hope the issues with CGE and IGS are worked out soon.

We have a Dark Union Pre-Release coming up soon. Can't wait for that! =)

We have changed our release/season schedule to the following: (Sorry to those who expected differently) Winter Season: November – April Summer Season: May – October Dark Union will be released the beginning of November. An exact date has not yet been set. Ninpo will be released in May and will debut at GAMA con in April, but some of you may see it even before that. The 2nd Edition Core Set will be released next November and should be available for a Sneak Peak at GenCon Indy in August. With this new schedule we should see a new core set every two and a half years and 4 expansions in between. We have plans to pick this up a bit in the future as the game starts selling more throughout the world, however, this current schedule will help easy the burden of R&D and finances until that time.

Congrats to another NE center running ME. If your center is interested in joining IGS events please send us an email. We're looking for centers in the NE area that really want to help the game expand but have their own ideas on events rules.
Thank You iGameSpot inc. New England's home for competitive gamers!
