iGameSpot will be starting bi-weekly tournaments in September. The first event will be held on Saturday September 2nd at 2pm. Format: Standard Constructed event. (IGS non-sanctioned event) Rules: Errata's as of August 21st (slavedriver banned) (This is subject to change up to the week of the event.) This will be a IGS Level 1 event. Deck lists are not required. Yes! It's good to see NE back in the fray of things. Remember that these Events can get posted in the Calender entries and/or Events Schedule that Becky has going on up there. I'm not sure if everyone can just post new events, but if you can't, I will be more than happy to. Just holler!

Those are some awesome prizes Shawn... Thank you for continuing to support ME in NE. You're a good guy. I hope we can reconcile our relations with the CGE staff and move on to better things. There were issues that we all need to address and make better for the next big event. Just leaving your judgehood behind is not going to help excel us in the right direction. I trully hope you will reconsider and come back. Your views and comments in the judge's forums are more helpful than perhaps you know. It's juts not the same without you. We love you man... We're here to support the game, developers, and the players as I've repeated many times. iGameSpot and IGS events have no affiliation with CGE and will continue to keep it that way.

I'm hoping things work out in the future between your store and us. I assure you we will do our best to correct any and all issues.
Does this mean you wish to be removed from the CGE system and no longer hold ME Sanctioned events? if so let us know and we will promptly remove your store.
Note that we are willing to address whatever concerns you may have.

I know this tournament is clearly posted as non-sanctioned, but if it continues to not be CGE, that can any tournament there ever be sanctioned? Just curious...

I wish you the best SoJo... I want every retailer to thrive with our game. I want nothing more than to work things out and make good on any hard feelings, but it seems you just really dislike CGE and will not sanction events due to that. I am so sorry that things happened the way they did, but I cannot think of any way to reconcile this situation. CGE has been working VERY close with us to make our sanctioned play as tight and fair as possible. We have made some changes since the MEGA Face Off to improve how future events are run. We are highly influensed by the feedback from our players. We know we cannot please everyone, but we try and we will always get better. I hope we will someday again, have sanctioned play at IGS–Our leading retail outlet in northern MA.

IGS has not provided official notification to us stating they wish to stop hosting sanctioned ME tournaments. We advice players to contact the store directly for information on ME Sanctioned play.

That would be awesome, but then the Sanctioned tournaments would have to be CGE, contrary to what igamespot has announced. That is why I was asking. I don't if some of the top 10 players wouldn't mind always playing non-sanctioned in IGS. I ask from personal experience to similar circumstances in my area...

At this time we don't have a answer to the CGE sanctioned event status here at IGS. I believe we're currently waiting on a reply from Keith on a email Sojo Mojo sent and will hopefully have an answer soon.
Until then this first event will be no-sanctioned and will hopefully draw a nice crowd with its great prizes.
