Very big playgroup

Well, it is official. We here in good city of Columbus, GA are about to have a "gaming" organization at Columbus State University. By the end of this week, we will be officially recognized by the Student Government Association, with me as one of the acting officers.

We anticipate 30+ members starting off, and after we get the word out, 60+. This will be a good springboard for launching ME in the SE, since one of our many goals is to have gaming nights on campus that involve new(er) games, and possibly sanctioned tournaments in the near future.

I just need to get in touch with Keith since he has been talking about demo materials, and because he is so busy, he has not responded to my PMs and Emails. I am not trying to be disrespectful nor pushy, I just would like to make contact.

Congrats. I helped organize a similar group at Keene State back in the early '90's. (It unfortunately died some time after I moved to the West Coast due to a lack of support, so it doesn't exist any more.) Things may be different down at CSU, but I know that when we got our charter recognized and became an official student club we received a club budget based on the size of our membership allocated to us from the Student Activities Fund.

I just wanted to let you all know that only a few minutes after I made this post, Keith sent me a PM telling me that he has just given the responsibility of contacting the reps to Becky and that she should be contactiing the reps soon.

I have learned the hard way myself that delegation of responsibility is a good thing.
