keiths process is a litle strict on determining a broken card..... dust of invis could be dealt with but it got the boot. EXPLAIN THAT. and one thing people overlook is.. just cause every deck can run it doesnt mean its broken. IMO the most broken card now is sworn defender. it turns the tide of every game ive played. and everyone runs it. its like the skullclamp of magic. Dude a Cranial leech, Bat Zombie, Purify, Trade Agreement, lightning bolt.... I'm sure I missed something.... all get rid of Sworn Defender. Having 2 makes things harder.... remove the lightning bolt.

We did nothing to Dust of Invisibility. All I did was make it so Blocking didn't require targeting.

well just because a card like sworn defender is good doesn't mean it's broken...i just think that you have to find away around it....if you use a glye or sutraps deck then you should have no problem with beating him.....but if you are using a weak wizard deck the put some 12loyalty 3-1's in your side deck

I don't think Sworn Defender is as of yet an issue myself, but again I might recommend here that if all of us wish to discuss this issue further to take it to the MEGA forums and not on this site.
Thank you.

We did nothing to Dust of Invisibility. All I did was make it so Blocking didn't require targeting. I agree that the dust has been touched, however the errata boards on ME website still reflect that Invisible creatures become visible when attacking. This isn' true anymore, right? Furthermore, while blocking doesn't require targeting, does Defending require it?

Creatures with Invisible become targetable when attacking
Creatures with Invisibility become targetable when they become engaged.
Still stands.

1 about structures.
If you do it right structures are easily playable. Peasants are sick! I had 1 peasant build a woodland sanctuary in 1 turn. And they are not just for building! if you have 4 peasants in play it's possible to deal 65 damage (or MORE). Of course this is insanely difficult.

Sworn defender is nice. A great card! but it's not needed in every deck. Nor is it a big problem. They're are plenty of ways to deal 4 damage in 1 turn. Plus all those destroy effects!
Oh and death tokens. Death tokens could get rid of a sworn defender.... or a builder... or anything really.
Oh keith I found another infinite attack combo but it's slow and probably take a couple of turns to set up. There are many ways to counter it... but most of those cards I haven't seen run in many deck.

Well, hello. Always good to see a new face on the block. Welcome.
Good anaylsis. I wonder if we have the same inf. combo in mind. Regardless, may I ask where you are from? It sounds like you might be another player from NE. Either way, I agree on all counts. Peasents can be sick, and Sworn Defender cannot be defined as broken as of yet if ever. Kudos.

No tipping of the hand Q? I am curious to which infinite combo you are referring. I do know of a few infinite combos but the revolve around 3 or more cards and are usually to slow and fragile to truly be considered broken. Sworn Defender is a great card but not broken. Throw an Invincible on him and he gets really nasty!

Well, I'll let my cat out of my bag. Most of the comboes that I was aware of all revolve around a no-action method of sacrificing creatures i.e. Sacrificial Altar or Twisted Sorcerer. All the other ones I had have since been wiped by errata.
But alas, Tirus has PM-d me his combo...and it works! It truly is infinite. I was not aware of it, so I'm afraid it's not up to me to reveal it here. The jury is still out whether it's fast enough to be viable, but as an aspiring judge, it's good to be aware of these things.
Good job, Tirus. I will be messaging you on what I found out so far...
