Creatures never get Attacked only Characters and Structures, so it would be impossible for there to be any Character or Creatures that "Attacked ... Targeted Creature this turn." No where in the discussion of Blocking or Defending against an Attack does it explicitly state that the Attacking Creature is now considered to have Attacked the Creature(s) who are Blocking or Defending, so I can easily see a Player arguing that their Attacker takes no Damage from this spell the way it is currently worded.

Wow hey it looks like this never got tended to. Anyway, the rulebook now clearly defines that when a creature blocks or defends, the target of the attack swithes to that creature and thus it was "attacked"

Not to mention, cards like Dragon Slayer also directly attack creatures.

True, very true. So either way, the card will have had at least some use, but trust me in that it works that way with combat and targeting.

In a draft I played in 2 weeks ago, I had Sutraps as my character and Tree Ent in play. They attacked me with 7 creatures simultaneouslyo that Sutraps could only prevent 1 damage of whatever got through. I blocked them all with Tree Ent, then did this spell on it. Ugly for my opp, since all his creatures targeted the Tree Ent to attack it, and they all died.
