iGameSpot Tounraments Now Thursdays and Saturdays!

After talking to a few people we decided to run both Thursday and Saturday events until Regionals. However so we don't drain everyones pockets before the big event the Saturday entry fee will be reduced..

Events are posted on CGE:

Thursdays @ 4:30pm (Sanctioned with 8 or more players)
Format: Constructed
Entry $5
Prizes: * Everyone gets one pack for participating
1st Place 5 packs
2nd Place 2 packs
3rd Place 1 pack

Saturdays @ 2pm (Sanctioned with 8 or more players)
Format: Constructed
Entry $3 (Starting July entry will go to $5)

(Prizes: 8-15 Players)
1st Place $35 store credit
2nd Place $10 Store credit

(Prizes: 16+ Players)
1st Place $60 store credit
2nd Place $20 Store credit
3rd Place $10 Store credit

I have a question why is the Saturday Prize pack so small? I would rather pay more money and have a better opportunity for prizes seeing how I have to drive down from North Conway,NH . And 2-3 paks for winning??!! Thanks but thats not worth the 20 in gas to get down there. Every tourney ive been in has at least been half a box and store credit.

Good point. Forget that some people that drive down arn't just doing it for points. I've updated the Saturday prizes to follow the rest of the events we do for other CCGs.

Thursdays AND Saturdays now. Man, I'm gonna need a heck of a lot of money to try and keep my rank. It's at least 20 in gas plus the entry fee. so thats like 50 bucks a week for me...and I only get 10-20... I need a job or something.

what is the prize format for your other CCG's ive never been to your store before?

Since the Thursday time is most time constrictive for players to attend, why not make the Thursday a non-sanctioned event and make Saturday's a sanctioned one. As much as Arashi loves this game, I bet he would prefer to make the 4 hour trip only once a week or so I am speaking as an outsider since I am not even trying to compete for the overall points. Too many real life commitments; job, family, friends, and fun! I am going to try and make this weeks tourny on Saturday however I still am not sure what I will play, wizards or anti-wizards LOL.

After the Regional we will make Saturdays the only sanctioned event. But for now with so many people trying to build points I have two groups one that wants weekends and one with weekdays so this should help both parties. As for keeping your points up if you come on weekends and get 1st I think your rank will stay up there the top 3 all have a demanding lead.

Plus without 8 people it won’t count as sanctioned so if people don’t show it won’t count towards the rankings.

Sojo I dont see any more of a prize pack for any other CCG than what you stated for ME.
