Well we just had another great turnout yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended. Hope to see you all again this Saturday and hopefuly a few new faces.
Congrats to Chris Norton for taking home the 1st place win over Jay Algarin who took 2nd. Jeffrey Hatab took 3rd followed by John Murin in 4th.
Chirs Played a new Wizard Aggro/Control deck that really whiped the board with most of the decks. The only deck to give him a run for his money seemed to be Scotts Lady Phe’Ronde Mass Destruction deck. The match went 2/1 Chris but Scott's cycling of fire elemental really gives his oppenents something to deal with. It was looking like Scott might defeat Chris in the 1st round or at least goto a draw but while in OT on thier 3 game Scott conceeded to Chris giving Chris the win vs. attempting to draw it out to damage.
Jeffrey had a bad day today which was due to what he referred to as being lazy. He just wasn't prepared and through together a wizard deck at the last miniute. Overall he still did well but being lazy may have cost him some valuable ranking points.
Jay Algarin, who had been crawling his way up in ranks now finds himself in 5th place. Jay ran his faithfull wizard burn deck and defeated Jamie in round 2. Jamie used my Grimus control deck which should of won. lol You got lucky Jay. lol jk
John Murin really gave a good showing today with his Lady/Archer deck. It was great to see something other than wizards. His archers destoryed Jerrmy's Glye deck which was thought to make top 3 today but both Archer's and Grimus control said no to that. Well Jerrmy its time for some upgrades..
With that said it was another great tournament. From the looks of it the tournaments seem to be growing. So hopefull next week we should see about 10 people and hopefully at least 8 for this Saturday.
