When Engaging Jenkens' Spellbook to cast a Spell, is the Spell considered being cast, as normal, by the Character taking the Action to use the Item? i.e. Do they Fully Engage even if they have Action(s) left? Does the Spell resolve at it's Speed (as opposed to the Speed of the Spellbook or Character)? And if something else Fully Engages the Character using the Spellbook before the Spell resolves does the spell fizzle and get discarded or is the Character prevented from using the Spellbook at all, and therefore the Spell is still under the Spellbook available for use at a later time? And, finally, just to be certain, casting a Spell that is under the Spellbook does remove it from under the Spellbook and place it in the Discard Pile, right?

The way this card works with the new rules on how Events resolve is:
You declare that you are using an action to engage Jenkin's Spellbook. At this point someone most respond by stoping this from taking place. If no one does then this resolves. Then you may choose a spell from within the book and that spell then starts a new event. This does not require any creatures or characters to engage. The spell is pretty much free. It can only be countered by a spell or ability that can stop a spell. The spell will resolve at the speed of the spell. The speed of the book only refers to the speed in which it is used to add spell to it or to look at it.

And my final question? After casting a spell that was in the book, is that spell still in the book or does it get discarded after use? i.e. does putting a spell into the book make it reusable?

Well, since the spell is cast, it should follow the rules of casting a spell (it is discarded after resolution). If not, I would love to place a Freeze in there and lock my opponent down.

Maybe I am missing something here, and if I am, forgive a 'newbie' question, but wouldn't Jenken's Spellbook allow anyone to cast any spell?
For example, overcoming the Angel character's (Saadheh - sorry, do not remember the name, but you know what I mean!) restriction on casting only light magic spells. Or any non-wizard character being able to cast any size spell? You do not have to pay for the spell, only use an action, so any character could cast any spell, right? Wow, does this open up possibilities!

You can have Glye, the warrior character, cast spells with Jenkens Spellbook if you'd like.
