As I investigate this card in further detail, I am thinking that the Slavemaster is way too overpowered.
1. There is no rule against taking notes in this game, since slavemaster allows me to search your deck (as well as my own) I can learn your entire deck strategy. Furthermore, if I wanted to, I could take notes on what is in your deck and pretty much know every card in your hand for the rest of the game.
2. Slavemaster allows you to get around the angel restriction.
3. Given the false loyalty, slavemasters can recruit a card of any loyalty, this is terrible.
Currently, every deck needs to know Exactly what they are doing when the slavemaster comes into play, otherwise it is all over!

Check the errata/restrictions page on the Mystical empires site. This mechanic in particular has been fixed many times now. Right now it is still useful but not overly powerful.
