026 Reaper of Souls Demon Necromancer 0 1 1 1 Enters play with 2 DFT. Doesn't Disengage as normal. You may remove a DFT during your Disengage Phase to Disengage Soul Stealer. Use an Action by Reaper of Souls to Sacrifice another Creature you control: Destroy Target Creature in Play. If you do this, ad 1 DFT to Reaper of Souls. 2 0 0 4 7 Michael Waters R

So what are Dark Flame Tokens? Do they have any inherent effects, like Archery Tokens, or situations that automatically interect with them, like Time Tokens and the Time Phase, or do they just sit there and do nothing unless a card effect specifically interacts with them?

A DFT is described in an insert you get when you open a box of the new set. However, I am not as of yet sure if the necessary changes have been made in the Comprehensive Rulebook.
A DFT on a creature can be removed to either prevent all damage done to the creature during that Event OR to have that creature skip its next Loyalty Check.
It is also written as a rule that a creature with a DFT kills another creature (since when is "kill" a vocab word for our game btw? I don't like the inconsistency in language...), then the creature gains 1 DFT. That brings up the curious question of whether this creature then gains 2 DFT, one for the default rule, and one additional per its effect. Keith?

I understand the wording issue. Just unclear about the gaining two part.

Well, as a rule for DFT, it is stated that if a creature with DFT destroys another creature, it gains a DFT.
Reaper of Souls has the ability to destroy creatures, and it quotes, "If you do this, add 1 DFT to Reaper of Souls."
One is a game rule, the other an added ability. IMO those would stack, right?

OH, yes, I see. Yes, as it is worded he would get 2 for doing this.

so what if a creature, besides reaper has no tolkens on it and kills a creatures, does it get a tolken. as the rules are state a creature with no DTFs will gain no more DTFs ever

According to the current rules, you would NOT gain a DFT if you don't have at least 1 in the first place. I know the rules for Demons and DFT's are a bit too complicated, and I think that this will be fixed/clerified shortly, but as of right now, you wouldn't gain a token unless it says otherwise.
