Ooh, ooh...I'm eager to see this one. If anyone read my report 2 weeks ago, this is the Belphegor that got 3rd place that neither of the top 2 decks played against and thus was a mystery to us.

So I kinda forgot I was waiting for this. I think I saw Belphegor on the side of a milk carton. Is there any hope that this deck will get updated?

It got updated...then the errata came...and NO ONE plays in Lafayette right now, so I haven't seen it lately.

What errata kept people from playing?

Its not the errata so much as the lack of interest. The last time this game was played was at the Regionals. The time before that - Meet the Creators day. There just isn't any interest in the game. Robert got into the game, but he's military and hardly ever comes to play. I got into the game, and there's just no interest in supporting it. (I think the store still has our original order on the shelves from pre-base set ordering...)

A frank and honest answer even if it isn't what you want to hear.

I don't want to start an argument or anything, especially on these forums, and I certainly don't want to drive you away plmrelm, but you are here a lot, not to mention are always looking for me and Chris on the MEGA chatroom.
I know you've put up cards for sale, but you still show the signs of someone who is himself still interested in the game, even if it is true that some around you are not.
On a side note, it takes a huge effort to try and win over the interest of people into anything. It would be misconstrued information if anyone were to assume that our store in Windy is as active in ME as IGS is in NE. Still, me and my group still persist. We know it might take time and determination. The competition in CCGs is fierce, and sometimes its near impossible to compete with the current king of CCGs, not to mention the other would be leaders with cartoons to back them up. Yet, we're still winning over maybe 1 player this week, 5 players that week, and so on. Do you think the Sith are more involved here? No, they are not. As much as I'm sure they would like to, they've been to our store like 3 times ever. I'm sure they've been there with you about the same number of time. It also takes a store owner that's behind the game. What is the status of the storeowner there? I know I personally called down there to Castle Comics and Cards to spread the word about the Regional here, to give you guys a chance to take ours down and get some revenge...has the word gotten out? Does anyone know besides you and whoever answered my call? And before you tell me that no one cares, tell me they turn down an Xbox for $10. Not everyone I try to teach the game to keeps interest thru the whole demo, and that's just being honest. But the people that have demoed completely and know how to play the game...not one of them has said no to the idea of a Regional.
Heck, you're in Indy. I would so sell more tickets down there telling people they could shoot at $10,000 down the block for $12. Personally, I think with proper handling, there would be more players down there than in Windy and NE combined.
Point being, you can't just accuse the game here. Indy has known about the game longer that Windies, yet here we are.
Just my humble opinion. Next case.

I talked to Robert today and he is being shipped out August 15th (no Gencon )and is moving and "vacationing" until then, and has declined coming to Chicago. I tried to get him to give me his decklist, but he said he wanted to keep it a secret. I'm in Lafayette, Q. I placed 10th in our Regionals. Rose hasn't decided yet if she's coming to Chicago (if she has time and the other player wants to go) People know about the Regional, but no one wants to go all that way for a minor chance at the XBOX prize ~ you guys trounced us pretty well and can only have gotten better. I don't really see any of Lafayette's "players" getting a chance. ;D As of right now, I'm not sure that I would venture coming up there, with your players, Peoria and anyone else that happens to show up, I'm not sure I could place in the top ten....

I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. Me and Chris think you do well for yourself, and you might have placed 10th, but you can only have gotten better as well. Even if you didn't place 10th, you get a box all the way to 20th, so think about it. I think you would be able to finish 10th or better. I wouldn't say we trounced you. I would say that the majority of players were newer at the game, but it's been awhile now, and the metagame has only slightly changed. But if you can't come, that's ok. Nothing personal. Nevertheless, even if you are the last Lafayette player left, I wouldn't want you to give up on ME, because it really looks like you enjoy the game and have a real interest in it. I see from another thread that you also took the Judge's Test...I'm glad to see you are interested in getting involved. So keep it up...please, and help us mold the game into something everyone will play and love. Thank you for sharing your opinions...I now ask you to consider what I'm telling you. Q HAS SPOKEN!!! lol.

Yeah, I'm with Q. It would be great to see you at GenCon and the mega face off Plmrelm. Perhaps we'll get the chance to play a game against one another and you can show everyone how good you are by beating me! Maybe...lol.
