Congratulations on being/becoming a ME Judge. As a Judge, there are many ways one can be of help.
-Game Rules understanding
-Helping members answer rules questions
-Promoting ME at your gaming stores, where you can encourage storeowners to sponsor ME by acquiring the Start-up and League Kits for ME, and even hold Events where you can be the Judge even at Level 1.
-Joining other Judges in Chambers where we can discuss unclear rules or game situations out of the public eye. Remember that we don't want Judges to trip over each other on the "Floor", or public visible boards, as that will create game confusion to them and maybe even preferential treatment to and from Judges. Anytime anything you come across is not 100% sure, bring it to Chambers and start a new thread if there isn't one already.
-Help debate the development and impact of certain cards that are deemed destructive cards that might be too "broken" (
) for Sanctioned Play, or cards that might need errata to work properly. Do this also in Chambers and away from the Floor.
-Know where to send people to the appropiate channels where they can find information about anything regarding ME, whether it's here to Forums, Main Website, Executive Offices, etc.
-Know and provide, or know where it can be provided, the customer service phone numbers, and the rules questions email.
-Recruit members you think would make excellent judges, and direct them on how to become a Judge.
Phew. As a Judge, you don't have to do all these things, but you can help with one or two things, or as many as you can. It seems like a lot, but it'll become very second-nature soon enough.
