Jim plays at the Secret Hideout in Keene NH and is currently working on getting a league going and hopefully more. He has done a tremendous amount of work researching the game and has done a lot to help it along.

Hi, all. Brief bio facts: Age: 36 (37 on Friday, 1 Sep) Born and raised here in New Hampshire, but only have been back in the state a few years. (While I didn't leave my heart in San Francisco, it certainly felt like I left in in the SF Bay Area, and one day I hope to move back there and look for it.) I've been playing games since I was a wee tike, and became an avid gamer when I was introduced to AD&D back in 1981. Since then gaming has been a permanent, major part of my life. Started playing CCG's almost at their inception--while I missed out on Alpha and Beta, I had friends who were at the '93 GenCon who brought back cards and we all eagerly awaited the arrival of Unlimited here in Keene. (I, on the other hand, went to the '90 and '92 GenCon's and remember noticing Wizards of the Coast in the dealers room. The were this tiny, hole-in-the-wall company with an offbeat roleplaying game called Talislanta that I really had no interest in after looking it over briefly.) I dropped Magic like a hot rock after throwing the 6th edition rulebook across the room in disgust (can anyone say stack, I knew that you could) because I just couldn't tolerate the fact that Wizards was doing its best to dumb down the product with each edition in order to attract a younger market. If I'd wanted to play Pokemon, I'd have bought Pokemon. I was only introduced to ME about a month ago, but immediately found it superior to the current state of Magic. I prefer my games to recognize the fact that I'm a thinking, intelligent adult and I find ME often makes me stretch my mental muscles and, as last night's league play reminded me, requires me to remain alert and think things through or miss opportunities that could have earned me a win. Our league is definitely still in its infancy, and yesterday's league night was particularly dead. (I'm hoping that this was just a case of end-of-summer, with people getting in final activities and/or doing necessary shopping prior to the resumption of school or college and growth will resume in September--though I figure next weekend will be at least as dead, what with the holiday and all.) I sincerely hope to see sanctioned play begin before the season ends, possibly even with a Release Tournament in September. I will keep everyone updated in the Events board regarding happenings here in Keene. But if any of you are in the area on a Sunday, drop by with your decks, we'd love the additional competition.

You rock, sir...welcome to Judgehood and more interestingly Chambers. Oh man, if anyone can shake things up it's you. It's an honor and a privelege to have you aboard, and I mean that just from the limited interaction we've had here...I hardly even know you, but know enough to acknowledge the value of your asset to ME. Thank you for joining.
