What's the benefit of becoming a higher level judge? Does it let you overrule other judges in tournaments? That's the only benefit I'm deriving, aside from possible free swag.

hey, I finally made an account and like i said to most of the judges ant gencon i myself want 2 become a lvl 1 judge. Now i know i was explanied by many of the judges what i was to do to become one, but i forgot .........what im supposed to look/read over? ty Everything you need can be found online. Are you a member of the MEGA team? If you accessed this threw the mainsite then you probably are, after you log on that site, then go to the forums page. Their is a password there. Use it to enter the Mega boards, general discussion. There is a thread called Got Judges? There is info in it to become a judge. Use that, a comprehensive rule book, and 1st edition spoiler and you should pass easily. good luck ^^

Guys, I just took this test. It included questions on GENCON prize support in spite of the fact that Keith just removed all information from the site on that question (I had to look in Google's cache since the ME site doesn't contain the information). It had questions on tournament floor rules in spite of the fact that they aren't listed on the game.html page or in the comprehensive rulebook (where are the floor rules?). Only two questions concerning rules that were readily available in the comprehensive rulebook were asked and one of them, in my opinion, had a vague answer because of a poor card wording (the rules don't talk at all about Damage Reduction vs. Damage Prevention).

Q has it posted in the Mega boards. They are also in the sponser kit. I think we need to have a section in the game.html that has specific card questions. We kind of have that in forums, but I think it should be in the site for those who don't come here.

I don't because we want them to come here ...Get me? I hate the idea of alienating people just cause they don't like forums.

Specific card questions is something for the forums, not for the main website. I don't want to alienate people either, but the main website is just not set up for that type of activity. If someone what to ask questions about cards, this is the place to do it. We're not asking for money or for someone's first born son... Just come and post in the forums. Thank you. =)

Like we have all said all along, it is acknowledgable that the current Level 1 Test is a bit...well, you know. I suspect a new and improved Level 1 Test is in the works that we will all have to re-take, and not to mention Level 2 perhaps. For now, I think you are still more than fine with any rulebook you can find, my memo in MEGA X (or the real League Kit), and a 1st Ed Spoiler helps too.
We all good?

Would it surprise you to know that we have more people fail this "Silly" test then who pass? We need our level one judges to know everything that is on that test and little or nothing more... It is so idioticly simple if you know where to look for the info (That is the key) Know where to look and you will pass. If you don't know where to look. FIND OUT! This is an open book test. "Q" has posted the freakin answers for cryin' out loud... The level 2 test will be much more challenging for you guy... Trust me =) As for the level one test... if everyone in the world starts passing the test with their eyes closed, I might change it. But right now we have about a dozen judges. More like 50 people have actualy taken the test. Why people answer questions they don't know, I don't know... It is really silly. If you don't know the answers, perhaps you should research it and take the test when you have your stuff in order. The test is designed the way it is for a reason, to weed out the prepared judges from those who are not so prepared to become judges. Once you become a level 1 judge and once you gain some experience runing level one tournaments, you will soon be ready to take the level 2 test, which will look a lot more like questions 19 & 20 on the level 1 test, only many more of them. Be ready. =)

keith the reason many of these people fail is because they werent prepared for the test. when i thought of i i was thinking of the last 2 questions but 20-40 of them. (dont say u have that many cause there have been way more from me and shawn alone). one of the reasons i was able to pass was just using the site to find some answers. i only found 3 by the way. a lot of them i was flabagastered that they were there ad i wasnt easily able to find the answers on the site. how am i supposed to know that stuff. and some i knew answers from forums. judeges shouldnt need to be forum junkees.

It is so idioticly simple if you know where to look for the info (That is the key) Know where to look and you will pass. I wouldn't be suprised that most people fail to get some of those questions right. The problem is, Keith, is that you guys do not do a good job of posting all the rules in one place. I found out after I took the test that if I had joined the MEGA EX team, used a password, looked in a specific thread, and then memorized it, that I probably would have missed fewer questions. There is NO good reason for not posting League/Sponsor Rules, Tournament Floor Rules, and Tournament Penalties all in one public place. Furthermore, one of your questions asked about the GENCON prize and you had just removed that information from your own website. I found it only by using special online search tools to find an archived copy. Put all the information in one place and then test people. Please don't expect us to search your entire website including password protected sections for answers. Certainly don't delete the only ready source of information on your questions (like deleting all the information on GENCON prizes and then making it a tournament question). That's not testing people's memory, reasoning, or skill as judges. That's testing their ability to go on scavenger hunts. Some of us like your game and want to learn it well, but you are honestly making it an uphill climb for some of us to support your product.

Hi Darklord, we are currently working on a complete overhaul on the website. I don't think the design will change, but the content is being updated. Your concerns are being addressed. Thank you. =)

ya defenilty fix the site/test. nothing against u but i think maybe if u cant think of 20 solid questions (non email, non information on contacts adn what not) then talk with Q or shawn. they oculd think of a few EASY.
