You asked for it- DECK LIST (Grimus)

The questions about posting decklists is somewhat moot to me. If your a decent player you should have a good idea what the best decks are. I have my own version of each of the popular decks. If I see a powerful combo, I will use it AND try to find a way to stop it. If it is broken, I let Keith know about it (Dust of Invisibility/sutraps was one).
I don't have a problem sharing my decklist so here is what I played at the last tournament. I went 3-1 loosing only to a Glye deck that got the Goblin archer combo out on turn 2 in both games. It is a decent deck but it can be improved upon. I will mention a few "bad choices" at the end of the article.

Cards that don't make the cut: Dead Magic Zone and Earth Elemental. Dead Magic Zone + Time Manipulator is a great combo against agro wizards but probably is better suited for the sideboard. I took out other spells for this combo and I don't think it was worth it. Earth (or Fire) Elemental is great for clearing the board but doing even 2 points of damage to yourself is not worth the board clear.
All Stars: Phoenix, Quanevean, and Dark Knight. Phoenix is simply amazing. Good answer to Glye or Sutraps, even if they are winged up. Don't forget to return it to your hand as it is a MAY not a must effect. Quanevean was a card I had played around with before but in the last tournament it was amazing. It keeps your defensive combo up in the long haul. Dark Knight w/ Vorex on first turn is often a game win. Even w/o the "broken V", it is a must block card.
I hope this gives you another deck to playtest against. It can be improved (some ideas posted above) but it does quite well in most matchups. In playtesting I usually have the biggest issue with agro wizards. With the surge in flying Glyes and Sutraps, you need to find another solution other than Phoenix.

Thanks! So what would you play instead of Earth Elemental or Dead Magic Zone in the main?

I saw a list that was similar to this (you may have even posted it) that had Guardian Angel and Pathfinder in it. Did you try those cards out and reject them for some reason?

I decided against Guardian Angel as it needs to have a pathfinder to be played (it can be pulled with Slave Driver). If it even takes one point of damage, it bounces back to your hand and needs another pathfinder to be put back into play. Seemed a bit fragile of a lock down.
I have yet to decide exactly what to put back in but purify and fireball are very good choices.

Ooh! This deck looks very solid. I toiled with something like this, but I completely forgot about the Dark Phoenix. You'd think I wouldn't having 3 of them. Nice!

Like I was saying before, I think the decklist thing is healthy for many reasons. Look up that thread in "current environment". Basically, it benefits the not so solid deckbuilders and the new gamers that I refer to these boards. They like to see what the good players are doing. But don't be surprised if even a great player see something that turns their world upside down. But I don't think it hurts the good player at all. In fact, I think it helps. But I think the biggest winner is ME itself.

Am I wrong, or can't Slave Driver recruit it directly into play?

Also, have you tried Braqmentar? He seems like he's nutty if you're lucky enough to own one. (as I am)

You're right, but I'm not sure I would run the Angel either. Don't get me wrong...it's house. But I'm not just going to run it off the 'driver', but I wouldn't want to add the Pathfinders either. It leads to too much card disadvantage, and the reward might not be that great.

Would you believe I hadn't even seen that stupid Braqmuentar til like yesterday? I mean, I think I saw it on a list somewhere, but it doesn't dawn on you how fat he is until you see him.

I hate Grimus again.

Phoenix is far superior to Braq. Yes, Braq can swing for big damage but what you need is damage prevention. Phoenix blocks, dies, then returns to your hand at end of turn. Braq's problem is that he just ends up getting shuffled back into your library. A good wizard player will just ping phoenix for one so it doesn't end up back in your hand but it dies much easier than his nasty big cousin. Sometimes bigger isn't always better. Best use of Braq is in the mirror (but little cousin kicks his but in that match too!).
