Well the dust has settled after another heated battle here at iGameSpot and the winner were Jeffery and his Lady Phe’Roude deck. First round Jeffery had to face off with Jeremy's Sutraps deck. It almost looked like Jeremy had him after totally destroying him first game. But after two more close games Jeffery turned it around winning 2/1.
Chris also running Lady Phe’Roude took 2nd today only losing to Jeffery in the finals.
Garrett took 3rd place with his Sutraps deck, which did fairly well today.
Overall it was another great event totaling 8 players with sadly no big upsets. However we did miss seeing Rebecca and John and both their new decks that where seen earlier this week, but I won’t spoil the surprise.
See you all again next week or this Saturday.
Sojo out!

just to describe 2 of my wins (not normal wins): my oppoent (jeromy) got me down to 1 life aand i was setting up a lot of stuff. i had only done about 2 damage. he gets flying effect on and i have 1 turn. i draw into 1 battllemonger and have a menace in hand. i play those. i then atck with my 2 menaces (2 mongers being out already). then atck with 3 others. i do 21 damage that turn.
sry jeromy
and for chris.... this wasnt luck at all. chris had a goblin archers, a monger, and a zombie. then plays a sword on his archers. i had 7 damage on me already. he atcks me directly twice. Thlen i block all his creatures atcks and i have nothing except a character with 3 life. he has 2 cause of the archers atck. i play silent assassin........... i win.......... hehe. i had it in hand all game but never played it and i saw that and it was funny.

Nicely done! It seems you guys have given Chris 2 rough outings recently. Yikes! One thing I was noticing about the CGE rating system (did you guys know that's what you go by?) in comparison to the DCI system is that it's a little more unforgiving. That's a good thing I think.
By the way, I don't know if you guys have noticed, but the President of CGE has started a membership here as has started a thread. If you guys have any questions, comments, compliments or complaints, please feel free to look him up.
Congrats on a big win, Syn!

Heh. I didn't do THAT bad I guess. I went 2-0, 2-0, and 1-2. I'm gonna fix my deck up tomorrow after my finals. I'm either going to use a revised version of that deck or maybe a different one...who knows? I thought of a couple things that could help that deck. As promised, I'll post the deck I used tomorrow.
Anyway, Congrats on the win Synergy! I'm gonna take it Saturday! ;D

I'm glad you remembered our deal. Don't feel like you have to be strict or religious with it, though. Maybe just the decks from the Saturday bigger event. Unless you enjoy putting them all up like I would, then knock yourself out. You're the superstar!

I am confused why is everyone talking like they only played three rounds? doesnt it have to be 4?

No. A sanctioned tournament only requires 8 people, and with that few players it's unnecessary to play more that 3 rounds of swiss. Unless they did a 3 round swiss/top 2 scenario which I would prefer if it were my store.
